Current Challenge

  • Charming kitchen display are my favorite and this week’s Inspired by Challenge immediately had me reaching for the classic farmhouse elements with playful twists.

I created a pair of layered box cards from Lori Whitlock, designed to look like little kitchen canisters and decor pieces to sit on your counter. I love to make box cards, so much dimension and so fun for your recipient. Keep in mind that they fold flat for mailing too and make such a statement.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope these kitchen inspired box cards inspire you to create with this challenge and then share with us.

  • Hi Laurel here again with my take on this week’s challenge.

I really love the colors in this week’s inspiration and had planned on doing something with them but then I remembered I had the Mom’s Kitchen collection from Echo Park just waiting to be used so I dug it out and went along with the theme.

I embossed the mint cardstock with an embossing folder from Unity. The recipe card, is just that, a recipe card – Echo Park has some fun ones! I just cut it down and used a notebook punch to add some detail.

I adhered the stickers to some scrap paper and mounted them on foam squares. The thanks die is from CTMH and I love the gingham washi tape in the Mom’s Kitchen collection so I added a bit of it too.

Can’t wait to see how you are inspired.

  • This week’s Inspired By Challenge brings cozy kitchen charm and timeless cottage style to the table! This beautiful kitchen display is filled with warm wood tones, soft neutrals, vintage-inspired canisters, and simple details that create such a calm and welcoming feel.

Will you be inspired by the natural color palette, the cozy farmhouse aesthetic, or the layered kitchen styling? Maybe it’s the wooden riser, the labeled containers, the delicate greenery, or the soft, homey atmosphere that sparks your creativity. • Hello everyone! Von Marie here and I’m so excited to be on the blog this Tuesday. We have a New Challenge Bumblebee or Butterfly #IB389 and with lovely color inspiration and a New Card Sketch.

    Let’s Get Started:

I was inspired and chose to do the Butterfly theme and colors and I had this New Butterfly Stamp waiting to be used from Unity Stamp Co. called A Thought Flew By. I stamped this Big Butterfly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and colored with my Copic markers. I gave my butterfly blue eyes. I then fussy cut my butterfly with a white border.

I ink blended on another sheet of white cardstock using a Rectangle Stencil from MFT Stamps it has the negative piece easily blend with 2 ink colors. You can use a die and masking paper too. I then used Hero Arts Soft Vanilla ink and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink. I cut my stenciled background to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

Next, I stamped my sentiment with VersaFine CLAIR ink in Nocturne on white cardstock and fussy cut it out. I definitely can relate to this sentiment I forget all the time. I then glued my stenciled background to a pink A2 card base and popped up my butterfly and sentiment with foam tape. I think it came out so cute and I used the yellow, brown, pink, and blue from the inspiration photo.

You still have time to join us!

    How to participate:

  • There’s something so charming and cozy about a scrap quilt, or in the case of our inspiration photo, a scrap pillow with an adorable . . . Bee? Butterfly? I went with Bee since I wanted to use the cute bees in my Whimsy Stamps BEECAUSE stamp set (retired). I’m also smitten with the dreamy colors – brown is such a lovely contrast with the pastels.

I used an older Diagonal Quilt Square Cover-Up die from MFT Stamps for my card . . . .

. . . . and I used Hexagon dies from Unity Stamps for my tag.

It is very satisfying to pull out my patterned paper scraps for projects like this. If you’re like me, it’s not uncommon to save the tiniest scrap piece, and when you finally use it, you congratulate yourself for saving it for just such an occasion.

I love all the different ways my teammates were inspired this week. How about you? Are you team Bee or team Butterfly? Or perhaps, you just want to make a quilt. We would love to see how you’re inspired. ~MarDi

  • Well, it appears frogs weren’t so inspirational, not as many projects in our gallery last week. That’s ok, the ones that were there were super cute!

    JB

So much to love on this! I love all of the details, the stencilled background, the die cuts, those cute frogs! So adorable! Congratulations!

Now don’t forget to play along this week!

  • I was so inspired by the sweet bee this week! Could it BEE any cuter?! I also loved the hand sewn theme and the quilted patterns, and had a great set of products to mix and match for my card.

I made a background with The Greetery’s “Embroidered Background” stamped over a “Patchwork” die cut. Added “Embroidered Blooms” die cut from patterned papers.

The sweet bee is made with the vintage classic “Baby Button Bits” from Papertrey Ink! The Greetery’s “Stitched Sentiments” was perfect, too, as it matched the bee’s flight pattern! 😂

We hope you are enjoying the weekend and get a chance to play along with us this week!

  • There’s something so cheerful about soft florals, bright butterflies, and sunny yellow details all coming together in one project! Today’s design was created to celebrate those happy little moments that make life feel extra special. I layered playful butterfly embellishments, soft patterned papers, twine and enamel dots onto this mason jar shaped card for the Inspired By Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today~I hope all the projects this week inspire you to pull out your favorite Spring papers and create something beautiful!

    ~Cathy

  • Hey everyone, Laurel here with my interpretation of this week’s challenge.

I was inspired by the cute bumblebee and it gave me a good excuse to finally ink up this stamp from Stampin Up! I have paired it with some papers from SU as well. For a bit of whimsy, I added some stitching, including a ‘flight path’. The little bee is mounted on foam squares for dimension
